Indulged, privileged, challenged, intimidated, excited…., some of the few words to describe our feelings when we were retained to design a Moroccan themed birthday party at Romero Britto Art Gallery on Lincoln Rd, South Beach Miami.
It gets better. This Moroccan themed birthday party for Britto’s son, was to be held, not in the public part of the gallery, but in the Private Room on the second floor where access is limited to only a few. The room is filled completely with Romero Britto’s fine art & personal photos with celebrities & dignitaries.
With so many years in the Events & Production Industry under our belt, it is true that it gets easier to successfully turn any venue or raw space into an exotic Moroccan, or 1001 Nights Arabian oasis, for any special occasion, corporate parties, galas, weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Quinceañera… to name a few.
So, what started as a design challenge became a golden opportunity to create an unexpected Moroccan Themed Event with Romero Britto’s Fine Art as a backdrop, canvas we can hope for. Per Britto’s Website “Internationally renowned pop artist Romero Britto uses vibrant colors and bold patterns as a visual language of hope and happiness, reflecting his optimistic faith in the world around him”
Vibrant colors, Bold patterns… rings a bell? I hope so! That is what, so many lovers of anything Moroccan “Moroccophiles”, define the Moroccan living lifestyle and design for home decor, special events, and celebrations.
We succeeded on taking up challenges similar to this one before with “East meets West”, “Morocco meets Miami”, “Moroccan White Theme”, “Modern Morocco Theme” and more. It is a continuous process of evolving & reinventing the Moroccan Theme that is ingrained in our tag line ” Never Ordinary…”
This time, we can proudly claim adding “Britto meets Morocco” to our Creative Moroccan Themes portfolio.
the design scope & parameters:
- The right lighting to create the festive atmosphere of the the Moroccan theme while at the same time enjoying Britto’s Art
- Authentic Moroccan comfortable lounge lounge furniture placed in a way to avoid obstructing the Britto’s art
- the right size & style of Authentic Moroccan Lamps & Lanterns that would compliment not obstruct or conflict with Britto’s Art
